Aaron Wood serves as the Senior Manager of Technical Training and Workforce Development at Silicon Ranch, where he leads the development of comprehensive training programs, qualification procedures, and skill enhancement initiatives for technicians. With extensive experience across the renewable energy sector, Aaron brings a strategic perspective to building effective, results-driven workforce solutions.
Previously, Aaron was the Director of Commissioning at IEA, a leading utility-scale contractor, where he designed and executed commissioning plans. He has also worked as an independent consultant, assisting organizations in developing operational procedures, authoring safety manuals, and achieving ISN and Avetta certifications. Before his consulting career, Aaron managed First Solar’s Southeast fleet, overseeing more than 1.3 gigawatts of solar capacity until the division’s sale.
A Master Electrician and graduate of the Arizona Builders Alliance Electrical Apprenticeship Program, Aaron began his career constructing hospitals, schools, and data centers before transitioning into the solar industry. His hands-on experience across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracting, and Owner/Operator management has equipped him with a well-rounded understanding of industry best practices. Aaron’s unique perspective enables him to identify and implement strategies that optimize uptime and maximize production.
