Marion Jones is a respected leader in workforce development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) with 15 years of experience in shaping talent strategies across a wide range of sectors. As Vice President of Workforce Development & DEI Justice at Nexamp, one of the largest solar developers in the U.S., Marion leads efforts to build a diverse talent pipeline in the renewable energy sector. She has spearheaded innovative initiatives, including the development of a nationally recognized Department of Labor apprenticeship program at Nexamp, making the company one of the first in the solar industry to implement an in-house apprenticeship program. In addition, Marion created a first-of-its-kind STEM-based fellowship with City Colleges of Chicago, which introduces students to careers in renewable energy. Her work has earned national recognition, including a special acknowledgment from the White House, where a workforce development program she reshaped was recognized as a workforce development exemplar during the 2022 Infrastructure Talent Pipeline Challenge.
